THE SAGE LIFETIME WARRANTY

Every new Sage rod, blank, 3000 & 2500 series reel is covered by our lifetime, original owner warranty.

The warranty is limited to repair and replacement of the rod, blank or reel and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product. This warranty does not cover fire, theft, loss, intentional breakage, modification or customization of the finished rod, or damage during the assembly of a blank into a finished rod. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Sage reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any Sage Product covered by this warranty and the right to replace any discontinued models with comparable models when necessary.

To validate the Sage  warranty, please complete and return this warranty card to Sage within 10 days of purchase. In order to invoke this warranty, the original owner must send to Sage the entire rod, including broken parts or pieces, freight pre-paid and insured, at the address below. Include a note explaining the problem, and package the rod either in its original packaging, or in packaging affording an equal degree of protection as the original packaging. To expedite the service on your Sage product, please use the "Product Services Form" which can be found at www.sageflyfish.com under "Resources".

For all return shipments within the U.S. the original owner will be responsible for a fee cover return shipping, insurance and processing. International customers will be asked to pay the actual shipping and insurance charges.

We recommend the following:

- Take extra care when stringing your rod. Thread a loop of the line through the guides and tip top and pull the line and leader straight through without bending the rod.

- Avoid placing or transporting your rod against metal or abrasive objects. Small nicks and scratches damage the graphite and lead to the cause of most broken rods.

- When using weighted or large flies, adjust to an open casting stroke. This allows the fly to pass over the top or to the side of the rod. A fly hitting the rod can also cause damage to the graphite.

- Avoid severe rod angles when fighting and landing fish. Snagged flies should be broken off by pulling on the line with the rod tip pointed at the snag.

- Periodically wax the ferrules lightly with paraffin to ensure a firm fit and proper function. Take the rod apart when you are done fishing to avoid stuck ferrules.

- Completely air dry your rod, cloth bag and tube before storing. The rod tubes can trap moisture which can swell reel seats and ruin the rod finish. To protect the tip, it is best to bag your rod with the tip top and cork handle up.

- Occasionally clean your rod with warm water and soap and completely dry. Apply furniture polish to shine and protect the rod when done.
